by now you're probably thinking I'm pregnant. Well I'm not. I'm celibate. No, this is just my body's fucked up way of denying me something I desperately want. I'm some days late and I don't think the thing is coming anytime soon unless I get on the pills again pronto. Which I will do.

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Last night...well, no, this morning after dawn (I was still sleeping) I had a dream that I'd given birth to twins. Girls. Aisha and Aminah. They were born April 21 and I remember distinctly telling someone that they were born 6 weeks early.

Why is this happening to me?!?! I just asked hubby if he were plotting anything. He said no, but he had a smirk on his face and he left the room in a hurry, saying he left the water running.

Constant vigilance is in order!

A few nights ago I had a dream about 4 fried fish. As everyone knows, fish in dreams heralds a pregnancy. The night before last I had a dream that I'd given birth to a shining white baby girl. Yesterday, I was nauseous after smelling some chicken, and stayed that way till hubby removed the offending poultry from my presence. And now that I think about it, I was nauseous the day before, too.

So, it's like this. My period ended last night, and immaculate conceptions died out 2 thousand years ago, as previously mentioned on this blog. How, then, am I going to get pregnant? Screw that, I'm not trying to get pregnant! But accidents have been known to happen. I'll have to make sure and continue to keep hubby at a distance.

My period is late again. it's probably because I've been fasting. By the time I break my fast I don't feel like eating much and I know I'm taking in a fraction of the water I used to drink. My body is probably struggling to normalize itself. Hell, my period might not even come this month.

I have been having a lot of dreams, lately, about having another baby. We're talking at least several times a month. To be perfectly honest, it's been happening for several years. Sometimes the dreams involve lots of babies, like multiples, or just one little one. What could this mean? That I subconsciously want another one? Or that I'll be having another one someday? Well, I actually consciously do want another one, just not with the present hubby. And not until I'm financially set. As for the second interpretation, well, I've have prophetic dreams before, usually about other people.

To make matters worse, the kid has been having similar dreams. Just the other day she told me she had a dream that I'd had Number Two. She was all excited, saying maybe I was pregnant. Casting my mind back to the days when that was actually possible, I told her that was highly unlikely.

Wow, I'd forgotten what it is to completely not worry about your period. I remember why I stopped birth control, but this is definately what I'm going to be sticking with for the next little while. However, I feel that before I leave him, I owe my kid a sibling from her father. I'm seriously thinking about it. It'd be the height of all bitch moves for me to get pregnant then tell hubby I'm leaving him, but...oh well.

Part of me feels like my kid will adjust to being an only. Part of me just can't go on seeing her longing for a sibling. At the same time she's going to be over 10 years older than this kid, so they won't really get to grow up together. You don't know how sad that makes me. And finally, a part of me just feels like Since God hasn't made it happen, then it must not be meant to happen. And I think that is the final word.

Well, I thought it had stopped, but it hadn't. It would stop for a few hours or half a day then come again. My period is seriously jacked up. I started a new job on Sunday which only made it worse so I started birth control pills yesterday, which was Tuesday. Alhamdulillah, things seem to be much better. I'm just going to stay on bc pills for a few months, because this job is till the end of the school year and I can't be worrying about my period or having it drag me down.

The meds haven't stopped it, but it is slowed. I'm going to go ahead and resume praying. I'm still taking the vitamins and iron pills. I'm going to continue those regardless. My body is in major need of a cleanising, but the cleansing products aren't here yet. I checked my order and they haven't even shipped them yet. Wish they'd get a move on already.

I started meds yesterday to stop this thing. I was starting to have that shaky-weak-sleep for hours feeling that comes with heavy blood loss. Today's my second day on the meds and it seems just a tiny bit less than yesterday. I'll be so happy when my cleanse stuff gets here...course the last time I used these particular products, I got married to my current hubby soon afterwards and BAM! Preggy almost immediately after that. That may well happen this time too...but I'm not trying to have a baby dragon just yet.

My period surprised me in the bathroom just now. Pulled down my panties to do my business and there it was, bright red.

I guess my period showd up this month with no aches or pains because I'm doing the lemon cleanse. Cleaning out all the toxins in my body, especally the liver, tends to reduce mentrual pain, I've read.

That weird period lasted weeks until I had to see a doctor and get more Provera prescribed. My dad literally saved my life making that appointment since I was bleeding to death.

But as soon as I got back to Kuwait and got on my regular diet again my period was back on track. During Ramadan it was incredibly light, scarcely more than a dot on the pad. I'm busily waiting for my next one.

Speaking of which...I should probaly cancel this blog or, at the least, rename it. Doesn't look like I'll be making any babies any time soon.

Ok so my period has been here since the 13th of this month. It's been very moderate, light even, but it's not going away. I've continued praying. I thought it was because it didn't come last month, but this is something else. At least it's not heavy with clots and gushing, mashallah. I notied that the more water I drink, the less it is. It'll even go away for a day or so and then come back for a few drops. Dunno what is going on. I brought some Provera with me from Kuwait (I'm in America) but I don't want to resort to that. Looks like my period won't be showing up this month. Good thing I'm now on the liver cleanse. Hopefully it will straighten me out. If I were to go buy when I last got my period...I'm not due till the 29th of this month. However, I'm going by when I was supposed to have gotten my period last month. All in all, I feel like it was on time this month. Light and sparse as it was. Hubby was shocked when I told him my period was gone. His jaw really dropped. I confess, I'm perturbed too....oh, well! Better this than bleeding all heavy.

I got my period yesterday, so it seems I'm on schedule and this time, mashallah, tabarak- ar Rahman, I didn't need progesterone! I've been doing the intestinal cleanser for a week and I'm liking the results. So far it's still light, but I'm hoping it will come down properly.

Testing Day

At 3 am this morning I woke up with an urgent need to pee. I remembered the preganancy test and took it in the bathroom with me. I peed on the stick. After all was finished and I left the bathroom, I examined the test. I frowned. I woke up hubby and asked him what he saw. He looked. He frowned, too, and groped for his glasses. Once he had them on he scrutinized the test carefully. After awhile....

Hubby: So...what does this mean?

me: I'm not sure.

Hubby: is it negative?

me: I don't know...exactly.

Hubby: Is it positive?

me: not sure about that either.

We looked at the test some more. Then Hubby said he'd take me to the doctor when he got home from work. We turned off the light and went back to sleep.

A couple of hours later, while here at this same computer, I felt a familiar ache. I went to the bathroom to check it out and, sure enough, that wretched period had decided to show up after it felt it had caused me and hubby enough grief. So that's that. I can order my products.

I was reading up on said products and liver congestion this morning. Apparently the more the liver deteriorates the less able it is to process chemicals and drugs. Which might explain why progesterone treatment isn't working like it used to. I tell you, I can't clean myself out quick enough! I've also decided to order some for hubby because from what I've read, he's suffering from liver and gall bladder congestion as well. Also, it looks like this baby thing will have to wait awhile. I'll be cleansing for at least 3 months.

Hmmmmm. Looks like I'll actually have to take that test tomorrow. I feel like it's going to be negative, even though I had a rough bout of nausea yesterday. In fact, I am so positive that it's going to be negative that even if it turns out to be positive, I'll probably see it as negative. I just refuse to believe that after all this time I'm suddenly pregnant right when I want to do a serious cleanse.

Should I make a doctor's appointment from now for that followup blood test? I mean the period just ain't here and looks like it's not coming anytime soon. I guess I should try and make an appointment for tomorrow...

And you know what? Since I'm sure the pregnancy test is going to be negative, I'm positive the blood test will be negative, too, thus wasting my hard-earned money. And when alllllll that drama is over and done with, then my period will show up as innocently as you please, just as if I haven't been living in outrage the past week over its absence.

I have decided that if the test is negative on Wednesday and I still haven't gotten my period...I'm going to order that stuff and do my cleanse, by God. If a baby can't have the decency to make its presence known via a pregnancy test, then it deserves whatever happens to it. Although, I suppose it wouldn't kill me to follow up with a blood test.

Ok. I have to remain positive. We want to enlarge our family, right? Right. I can tell hubby is keenly interested in what's going on. Every morning he asks me with obvious tension in his voice if I'm bleeding. When I tell him no, he walks off with a gleam in his eye. He thinks he cooked that egg. Ok, wtf? WHERE THE HELL IS MY PERIOD????!!!!!!

Unbelievable. My period is never late. It comes like clockwork while I'm on progesterone treatment, which I've been on for the past four months. It comes like clockwork when I'm on birth control which I was on for the past 2 years. So what is with this obscene lateness??? The one time I have an agenda, the one time when a late period wouldn't be cause for all night partying, the one time I want the blessed thing to come, it's not here.

I don't want this to be another blog obsessing over periods and/or the absence of same. I just wanted to document my cycles and any possible pregnancy. But now it looks like I'll have to mention those two dreadful words: Pregnancy Test.

As it happens, I am in possession of a pregnancy test. It's left over from December. That test was positive, but I miscarried the following week. Hubby bought two, so now the other one is right there in the room. Sigh. I just want my period to come so I can order my products. Granted, I should have thought of that before doing the baby dance on certain days, but I only recently became aware of the importance of a clean liver and its impact on my life. Like, in the past couple of weeks.

If I don't see my period by next Wednesday, I'll have to take the test.

Yes, I've been incredibly sleepy. Yes, I have breast tenderness. And though it shames me to admit it, I've had slight nausea. However, I am firmly attributing those things to the Provera...which I stopped taking almost a week ago. Hubby just says to wait, it'll come, you've been late before. All I could think was, yeah...right before a miscarriage.

Ahhhh, much better! I had a nice 2 hour nap and feel momentarily refreshed. I know fatigue will kick in again in a couple of hours, but there is much I can accomplish until then.

For starters, I recounted the days. I'm not late! My period was due yesterday, today is the 29th day of my cycle. I feel much better about that. Hubby commented on me being so sleepy for the past week and wondered if a certain little egg hadn't gotten cooked. I told him I want to have a baby but I want to do the cleanse first. He was like 'oh, ok'. Anyways, I'll be glad when my period comes, because it looks like I'll be able to order the cleanse products in a few days. If I'm pregnant, though, the cleanse will have to wait till after the baby is born. Releasing toxins into your body has a negative effect on an unborn baby.

My period still hasn't shown up. I'm so sleepy and it's only 7:21 am. I've been up since 5 am. Seems like I always get very sleepy during the days before my period comes. Yesterday, I was napping on and off all day and I went to bed early.

I've been fighting exhaustion and I'm losing. I have to go back to sleep. I can't take it anymore. I have homework to do today, but it isn't actually due today so I'm going to take a nap. I'll do it when I get up, inshallah.

Well, I just counted up the days and it seems I should have gotten my period on the 17th of this month. No biggie. My cycle is usualy 28-29 days long but I was still taking the Provera. Guess I lost track of the days. Anyways, the day before yesterday was my last day taking it, so my period should be along shortly. As a matter of fact, I'm feeling some very mild (barely a twinge) cramping as I type this, so I expect it to come tomorrow or soon after that.

Mission Statement

So. I guess I can best sum up the purpose of this blog as follows:

Hubby and I want to enlarge our family. Currently we have 1 daughter, age nine. We plan on having a few more and this blog will document our road to that.

There are a few things to consider. Number 1: I've had about seven miscarriages in the 10 years hubby and I have been married. Number 2: I have a hormone imbalance. Number 3: I have been diagnosed with PCOS. Number 4: My last miscarriage was this past December.

Following that miscarriage, my doctor had me take some injections to stimulate egg growth which worked beautifully. Then she gave me an injection to release the eggs. However, nothing happened when we went for the check-up. No fertilization or anything. Hubby has agreed to get his sperm count checked to make sure his swimmers are swimming. He hasn't yet, but I'll remind him.

Meanwhile, I have found out that having a congested liver can seriously contribute to infertility so I plan to do a colon cleanse and liver cleanse. Once my liver is cleaned out, my hormone imbalance should correct itself. People with a congested liver often suffer from estrogen dominance, which is exacly the case with me. I put a link to the site that talks about it in my links section. The site also sells something that sounds like it would work in my case called Chinese Bitters and Coptis. As for the PCOS, I found something interesting called Vitex. It looks promising. I'm going to check it out, inshallah. Some of the products sold on sensible health have vitex in them. So far I've been dosing myself with progesterone, 10mg a day. It keeps my period regular but I want more than that and I don't want to rely on drugs. I want to start using natural products.
